A CLYDEBANK man who allegedly “tried to grab” a 15-year-old girl has been released on bail after appearing in court.
Daniel Mailey, 23, is accused of having indecent communications with the schoolgirl who he allegedly met with at Cleddans Road on the night of July 1.
He was arrested and charged after police traced him a short time later.
In Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday, Mr Mailey made no plea and was released on bail.
He is due to appear again at a future date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report that a man tried to grab a 15-year-old girl around 9.50pm on Wednesday, 1 July, 2020.
"The incident happened on Cleddans Road, Clydebank. A 23-year-old man was traced a short time later.”
