TWO MEN are to stand trial after being arrested at protests on Glasgow’s George Square.
George France, 20, and Kieran Christie, 24, allegedly acted in a threatening or abusive manner in the city centre on June 14 this year.
Prosecutors claim the pair repeatedly “ran towards police constables and the lieges and acted in an aggressive manner.”
France and Christie pleaded not guilty at a hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the charge.
A further hearing date was set for September this year with the trial down for October.
The two men were granted bail by Sheriff Patricia Pryce meantime.
A 54-year-old man also charged is expected in court at a later date.
