THIS talented trio are hoping their fundraiser tonight for a local men's mental health group will hit all the right notes.

Twins Jack and Michael O'Rourke and friend Luke Anderson, who make up 'Travelling Jukebox', a three-piece function band, are live streaming a back garden gig tomorrow night to raise money for the Man On Inverclyde charity.

The 21-year-olds want to raise money for the suicide prevention service, run by local man Chris Paul.

Guitar player Luke, from Gourock, said: "We're hoping to have as many people as possible tune in to support the live stream gig.

"It'll be a full hour of music that we've been rehearsing for a few weeks, we're so looking forward to playing together again as we've not managed to get together recently with the virus.

"We chose Man On after the suggestion of a friend - we know there are many people struggling with their mental health which has been made worse with Covid-19.

"We've suggested people make a £5 donation if they can, however anything we raise we will be happy with."

The trio are all studying music at university - Luke and Michael are at the Royal Conservatoire while Jack studies at Edinburgh Napier.

The group was formed after they got together to busk for charity on Christmas Eve 2017 and since then they've been up and down the country performing at various gigs and functions.

Luke said: "We've really grown as a band over the past three years and have been given so many opportunities.

"We love performing local gigs, especially at The Spinnaker Hotel and Nicolson's bar.

"We're hoping the people who usually would come to see us will support the live stream."

Man On Inverclyde usually meet at Branchton Community Centre, but during lockdown they've been conducting sessions virtually for their 30 members.

The money the band raise will help go towards running costs.

The band will be going live on their Facebook page at 7pm and the event can be found here: www.facebook.com/events/2573424969575322/
