A popular city-centre restaurant has announced the launch of its newest pub and diner, specialising in Chicago-style pizza.

The team behind Buck's Bar will be joined top chef Yvonne Noon as they launch a new project which will have your mouth watering. 

Taking up the venue of SoHo Bar and Pizzeria, Thundercat will open its doors on Miller Street next Friday, July 17. 

Buck's Bar shared the news on their Facebook page through a video featuring some of their staff.

The owner of Buck's Bar Michael introduced chef Yvonne Noon as "one of the best chefs in Scotland". 

He added: "She has been all over the world, all over America and is very, very passionate about the food that we do."

The team which managed the SoHo Bar and Pizzeria, will also stick around as the venue takes on the new project.  

The Facebook post goes on to describe the unique offering of Thundercat as it claims it will be the first to bring Chicago style pizza to Glasgow.

It reads: "Thundercat will specialise in deep dish pizza pies in the authentic style native to Chicago.

"Our pizzas are made with intense 8-hour slow tomato sauce and a crispy, buttermilk base like nothing you’ve ever tasted before.

"Also expect fresh-pressed waffles, American diner staples and of course..there will be fried chicken."

Thundercat will open in 86 Miller Street next Friday.
