ESSENTIAL road maintenance is set to take place for over a week on the M74 northbound next month.
Maintenance will take place between junction five and six northbound, which will be closed from 8pm - 6am every night from Monday 3 August to Saturday 15 August.
Road diversions will be in place during these times.

Diversions will include northbound traffic exiting at Junction six and being directed onto the A72 and onto Bothwell Road.
The works have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, Hamilton Services, the South-West Operating Company and South Lanarkshire Council.

A spokesperson for Amey, who will be undertaking the works, said: "We fully recognise the importance of a safe and reliable trunk road network, particularly during the Covid-19 outbreak, and it is vital that essential maintenance works are carried out in order to maintain the integrity and safety of these routes.
"This scheme requires full overnight closures of the M74 northbound while this work is taking place, with a signed diversion route in operation."
