WORK will begin on the South City Way this week, with temporary pop-up bike lanes installed to provide extra distancing space.
The lanes will be installed from the junction of Norfolk St, over the Victoria Bridge to Clyde St.

The plans have also seen a permanent bus gate open on Gorbals Street yesterday.
Councillor Anna Richardson, City Convener for Sustainability and Carbon Reduction, said: "This is a route that we know is well used as a key link from the south side to the city centre and whilst we wait completion of permanent work as part of the South City Way, this temporary pop-up will make cycling in the area more appealing, especially to those new to active travel who we're keen to encourage.
"We want as many people as possible to regard cycling as a convenient mode of transport they can rely on day after day, for the good of our health and environment."
