A Glasgow student with her own cosmetics start-up was awarded the Scottish Institute for Enterprise Catalyst Award.
Marwa Ebrahim, a Glasgow School of Art-University of Glasgow graduate, won the award with Atypical Cosmetics, her start up which has developed skincare products that are uniquely tailored to the needs of each customer through AI powered customisation.
Alongside fellow Glaswegian Joe Gibson, who also won the Award, Marwa was awarded £4000 and will receive two years of dedicated support from leading advisors as they accelerate their business start-ups. She is also crowdfunding for Atypical Cosmetics
Marwa, a graduate of Strathclyde University and the Glasgow School of Art, told The Glasgow Times: "It's amazing, to be honest. Looking back how this all started it can seem very difficult and hopeless the first few months.
"It's really reassuring to know once you persevere and try and improve, the ball will eventually start to get rolling."
