A THIEF who raided a shop was later caught stealing from a hairdressers.
Kevin Docherty targeted Mobile and PC Zone in The Brae shopping centre in Glasgow’s Castlemilk in August 2018.
Police initially quizzed the 37 year-old after DNA evidence linked him to the crime.
The 37 year-old stated to officers: “You are not doing me for the phone shop, are you?”
He had been due to appear in the dock earlier this year, but failed to turn up and a warrant was issued.
Docherty was then caught in the basement of Rock n Roller salon in the city’s Pollokshaws in May.
Around £1800 of hairdressing equipment was found in a bag.
Docherty pleaded guilty on Thursday to two charges of housebreaking and the earlier court no-show.
His lawyer Umar Hussain said the crimes were committed to fund a drug problem.
Sentencing was deferred at Glasgow Sheriff Court for reports until next month
