ANOTHER kick in the teeth for the working people (ScotRail offers free travel for unemployed — and even more once they get a job, Glasgow Times online).
Total joke of an idea. What about the people who use the trains everyday for work?
They will be paying for this one way or the other.
What about free travel for the heroes of the pandemic?
Let’s help the PlayStation brigade that get up at two in the afternoon if you are lucky.
Utter joke of a country.

I THINK Liverpool will be the next place to go back into lockdown after the scenes outside Anfield as thousands celebrated their title win.
Fans had been warned not to gather after previous celebrations totally flouted social distancing measures. I think it emphasises that no fans can be allowed back into football grounds for a long time as drink and football fans is a toxic mix, especially when we are attempting to move out of a pandemic.
They simply cannot be trusted to act responsibly.

IT’S very sad (Grandmother in ‘absolute hell’ for nearly a decade with noisy neighbours, Thursday).
This problem is the tip of a large iceberg in Scotland and beyond.
Flats built cheaply and without any soundproofing and thin floors/walls.
This will always be a problem and it can affect people’s lives greatly.

I’VE had four years of hell from a neighbour upstairs.
Twenty five phone calls to the police and nothing done. Housing association has been useless.

WHAT is the matter with people now-a-days (East End nursery targeted by cruel vandals, Thursday)?
Nurseries and schools are for every child, including the ones that have vandalised them, perhaps for their own kids in the future.
I don’t understand this generation.
Just now lockdown is bad enough for people without destroying property.

SOME truly sick individuals out there who do this kind of thing.
Hopefully this will motivate the community to pull together to help it repair the damage.

SCUMBAGS. It’s so sad. How do you explain to nursery kids why they did it?
Name and shame!

WHAT do these idiots get out of stopping kids getting back to nursery?
These morons need strung up and left to rot.

ABSOLUTELY terrible. Poor children.
The people that have done this should be ashamed of themselves.

WHERE is the money going to come from to finance an independent Scotland without oil which the SNP and Greens want to stop (Split emerges in new Scottish independence party over Sheridan referendum position, Glasgow Times online)?
I just don’t think it can be done without massive increase in taxes here.

I CAN’T wait for the schools to return.
At least it will get all the groups of anti-social teenagers off the streets.
Some of the language they use and their behaviour is disgusting.
I think the lockdown has had an awful affect on the youth of our country. When are parents going to do their job and parent?
As soon as their precious bundles of joy leave their front door, they seem to do whatever they want.
