HOLLWOOD legend Robert Duvall says he was impressed with Ibrox legend Ally McCoist's acting ability - after the former Scotland star performed a sex scene in front of his own wife.

The pair starred alongside each other in the film A Shot At Glory, which came out in 2000.

In the film, McCoist played a striker for the fictional Scottish team Kilnockie FC, a struggling team determined to reach the Scottish Cup final.

Scottish presenter Ross Owen reunited the cast over Zoom to mark the 20th anniversary of the film's release, and published the video on his YouTube page.

Duvall, 89, said that McCoist was a 'natural actor' and a 'great guy'.

And the Godfather actor admitted he was blown away by McCoist's ability to perform a sex scene while his first wife, Allison, was on the set.

He said: "That guy McCoist he was a natural actor, a good natural actor.

"He was very good even when he was doing a love scene and his real wife was right there on the set.

"What about that? Doing a love scene with your wife watching. Oh my God, that sure was interesting.

"He's a great guy. I met Albert Finney and I mentioned I knew Ally McCoist and he said 'Ally McCoist, sharp as a tack'."
