A THUG who left a shopkeeper badly hurt after he refused to make him a pot noodle failed to attend court for his sentence yesterday.
Daniel Harley, 19, was due at Glasgow Sheriff Court after admitting assaulting Zahir Dar, 61, in April. Harley and accomplice Robbie Graham, 21, left Mr Dar with scars and broken jaw.
He launched glass bottles at Mr Dar while Graham punched him at the store in Glasgow’s Govan. The pair pleaded guilty to the assault earlier this month.
Graham was locked up for 113 days, but Harley, also of Govan, was granted bail to return to be sentenced.
His lawyer Paul McConnell told the court he expected Harley to attend.
He said: “Mr Harley was in touch with me this morning and was waiting for a taxi.”
A warrant for Harley’s arrest was eventually then granted by Sheriff John McCormick.
