A WOMAN has been arrested following a 'suspicious' death inside a Coatbridge home this morning. 

Police rushed to Renfrew Place at around 5.25am and found a woman dead at a property.

The alarm was raised after reports of an alleged disturbance before cops made the discovery.

A  28-year-old woman has now been arrested in connection with the incident and officers have launched an investigation into the 'suspicious' death.

Detective Inspector Pauline Thomson, of the Major Investigation Team, said: "Police were called to Renfrew Place, Coatbridge, around 5.25am on Saturday, 25 July, 2020, following a report of a disturbance.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman at a property, which is currently being treated as suspicious, and a 28-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with this.
