A MAN was arrested after police raided industrial premises in Govan. 

Police uncovered a stash of cannabis with an estimated street value of £500,000 in industrial premises on Fairley Street.

The 19-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the raid on Tuesday and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court court today.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector Scott Simpson at Govan Police Station said: “We will act on information and concerns that we receive from people living in the local community about drugs supply and continue to disrupt those involved in the supply of drugs.

“I would urge anyone with information about drugs in their local area to contact their local police office via telephone number 101, or alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
