WEST BROM have reportedly joined the race to sign Alfredo Morelos - with Lille preparing to table a £17million bid.

Reports in France have suggested that Ligue 1 outfit Lille have already agreed personal terms with the Rangers striker, leaving them with just the small task of agreeing a fee with the Ibrox club.

The Daily Record now report that the French side will put forward an offer of £17m for the Colombian, but they could face a fight for his signature.

West Brom have now been credited with an interest in Morelos after their return to the Premier League.

The Baggies lacked goals last term and manager Slaven Bilic is keen to add the Rangers striker to eliminate those problems.

Morelos has scored 77 goals in 137 appearances during his time in Glasgow.

Steven Gerrard and director of football Ross Wilson have already pinpointed a number of attacking options if Morelos leaves this summer.

Among the list is Peterborough ace Ivan Toney, Livingston's Lyndon Dykes and Dundee United's Lawrence Shankland.
