A NEWLANDS Councillor is calling for the clean up of Auldhouse Park, after neglect has left the space overgrown and "unusable".
Councillor Kyle Thornton has called on support from Glasgow City Council to help maintain the upkeep of the park, which has seen grass and hedges overgrown in the past few months and rusted gates broken off.

Mr Thornton said: "The park is very popular with locals and in a great, developing area.
"Having a space like this being so overgrown and not looked after brings down this area."

The park, on Auldhouse Road in Pollokshaws, has become important to local during lockdown, with many using the space to exercise.
Mr Thornton said: "A lot of people have started realising what space they have around them.
"Auldhouse Park is an ideal green space but locals are being stopped from using it properly."
