Two police officers have been injured after a collision took place in the West End involving an undercover police car and an Audi. 

Emergency services attended the incident happened along Great Western Road yesterday evening at around 5.25pm.

The two officers involved in the collision did not need medical treatment for their minor injuries. 

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "About 5.25pm an unmarked police vehicle was involved with a collision with an Audi car on Great Western Road.

"The two police officers sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Audi car did not sustain any injuries.

"A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences."
