Nicola Sturgeon has branded footballers behaviour as "unaceeptable" after two tested positive and six team mates are self isolating after they broke rules and visited a bar last weekend.
The Aberdeen players were in a bar in the city last week after the first Premiership match of the season against Rangers, at a time when cases in the city are increasing.
As a result , the clubs match tomorrow against St Johnstone has been callled off.
Nicola Sturgeon criticised the players actions.
She said they "blatantly" broke the rules agreed by the Government and the football clubs to allow the professional game to resrat.
She said it was "unacceptable" behaviour.
"Footballers are role models and the should behave accordingly. To say it is deeply regrettable is an understatement."
