ROAD closures are expected to be implemented on the M74 southbound for two weeks in a row.
The M74 southbound between Junction 5 Raith and Junction 6 Hamilton, will be closed overnight will be closed overnight on Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August, as well as Monday 24 August and Tuesday 25 August.
Transport Scotland have said that the road works will take place to "maintain the integrity and safety of the route."
The road will be closed from 8pm-6am on the dates specified.

Outwith these times and dates, the road will operate as normal with a diversion in place for those unable to reschedule travel.
M74 southbound traffic will be diverted via the A7071 Bothwell Road, the A72 Hamilton Palace Grounds and the A723 to re-join the M74 southbound at junction 6 Hamilton.
Transport Scotland have stated that the works are due to take place but is weather dependent and may be rescheduled or delayed as a result of bad or dangerous weather.
