WHO among us hasn't been down the pub one day and, after a few pints, agreed with pals that you should open one yourselves?

Well, we've got good news for you if you've got enough money in the kitty.

There are a number of pubs and bars available to buy or rent in Glasgow right now and some of them are going for much less than you'd think.

Here is a list of watering holes you could get your hands on in the city

In a listing on FindmyPub, agents write: "Located right in the heart of Maryhill, on the main Maryhill Road, the site sits on a parade of shops and near to the Firhill football ground of Partick Thistle FC.

Glasgow Times:

"The main downstairs area is a good-sized single bar operation, with a mixture of fixed and loose seating. There is a function room upstairs, accessed via a separate entrance with its own bar and toilet facilities. A large catering kitchen is also located on the first floor of the site.

"Private accommodation details to be confirmed."

Sweet Recreation, Shawlands

Glasgow Times:

Moving south, we find the Shawlands staple Sweet Recreation on the market for £35,000 rent.

The Kilmarnock Road pub is said to be good to go and is likely to prove popular with punters as lockdown continues to ease in Glasgow.

Agents write: "Situated in the historic borough of Shawlands the Sweet Recreation is located in the middle of Kilmarnock Road. This is an exciting time for Shawlands as it is undergoing some significant investment over the next two years, which will see some exciting changes. Sweet Recreation has a very penthouse industrial feel to it which lends itself to a diverse audience, the pub is literally ready to go, Just add your own flair!

Glasgow Times:

"The area of Shawlands has a largely younger audience who are looking for the next in house place to go, Suggestion would be to keep it fresh and funky but with a price band that is not pricing yourself out the market, price-sensitive area.

Gartocher, Shettleston

Glasgow Times:

Our first East End offering is Shettleston's Gartocher, which is based on Shettleston Road and a popular jaunt for locals.

It can be yours for only £28,170 - or 7000 pints of Tennent's.

Agents write: "The Gartocher is situated on Shettleston Road in the East End of Glasgow.

Glasgow Times:

"The pub comprises a public bar, lounge bar and a good sized function room which has recently been refurbished. There is also a small kitchen area, which offers traditional pub food during the day and in the early evening."

Treble Two, Bridgeton

Glasgow Times:

We're sticking to our city's East End for our final offering and it could be yours at a bargain price.

Treble Two, on Abercromby Street, is on the market for rent of just £20,000 and is situated in a busy area.

Agents say: "Located on Abercromby Street, the Treble Two is highly visible as a stand-alone building with local shops, gym and the medical practice all adjacent. Works have recently begun on the site next door to the pub to create two blocks of flats which will increase future trade opportunities for any incoming tenant.

Glasgow Times:

"The Treble Two consists of a single bar operation on a stand-alone site in this heavily populated residential area. It has been refurbished fully within the last six months internally and externally to create a contemporary community pub.

"There is ample free on-street parking on the main street outside and in the surrounding streets."
