A man was seriously assaulted in Springburn last night. 

The 19-year-old was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to receive treatment for a leg injury. 

Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries as they search for a motive for the attack. 

The assault took place around 10.45pm in Balgrayhill Road. 

CCTV footage will also be checked as the police try to find information about the suspect.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Palmer said: “I am appealing to members of the public who were in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch. 

"At this time, we do not know the motive for this attack and any small piece of information could assist our enquiries in establishing exactly what has happened and why.”
