A man has died in hospital after police were rushed to an alleged shooting in Blantyre.
Officers were called to Caithness Street at 5pm on Monday after receiving reports that a gun was fired.
One man was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he died shortly after.
The death is being treated as suspicious but a full post mortem has yet to take place.

Enquiries are ongoing and police remain in the area to provide reassurance to the public.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Around 5 pm on Monday, August 17 police were called to a report of a disturbance outside an address in Caithness Street, Blantyre.
"In the report it was alleged that a firearm had been discharged.
"A 26-year-old man was injured during the incident and he was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Wishaw where he died shortly later."
