REPORTS this morning have suggested that Rangers will not accept a £10million bid for Ryan Kent from Leeds.

Yesterday the news broke that Marcelo Bielsa's side were keen to land the former Liverpool winger after gaining promotion to the Premier League.

Bielsa is a long term admirer of Kent and has previously tried to sign him on two occasions.

But it looks as though he may face a fight to make it third time lucky, with today's Daily Record reporting that Rangers will boot out any bid for Kent.

It is also understood that the 23-year-old wants to stay at Ibrox.

Kent signed a four-year deal with the Light Blues in September 2019 after making a £7million switch from Liverpool.

Steven Gerrard has praised Kent for his performances so far this season.

Speaking last week he said: “Ryan had a mixed pre-season last year in terms of injuries and stuff.  That certainly had an effect on his consistency and his form.

“He performed ever so well and put in some top performances like Celtic Park away, Braga away, but at times he was quite quiet as well. “He has come back in good shape this pre-season. He has had a full pre-season, he is fit, he looks healthy and sharp.

“I think he has backed that up with the performances he has put in so far.”
