COPS were forced to pepper spray drunken revellers who brandished a hockey stick at officers.
Police took the action after attending a house party in Glasgow during the height of the Covid-19 lockdown.
An independent investigation has now found the use of the spray as "proportionate and necessary".

The officers swooped on the home on May 4 where a 26-year-old man and his 28-year-old brother both acted aggressively.
The two men "forcibly pushed" one of the officers and brandished the weapon, resulting in the use of PAVA spray by the cops.
Three other people who had been present were issued with fixed penalty notices for contravening the Coronavirus legislation.
The 26-year-old and 28-year-old were arrested and subsequently reported to the procurator fiscal.

Police Scotland referred the incident to the Police Investigations Review Commissioner (PIRC) and the subsequent investigatiion found the discharge of the PAVA was proportionate and necessary to prevent further injury to the officers and to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
