A South Side road has been sealed off by police tape after a man was found seriously injured. 

The man, 24, was hospitalised after emergency services raced to Kilbirnie Street after 3am today.

Police vehicles are parked at both ends of the cordon, as cops remain at the scene. 

The 24-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Govan where he remains. 

His condition has been described as serious but stable.

Cops have launched an investigation into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 3.05 am this morning, Sunday, 23 August, 2020, a 24-year-old man was found seriously injured on Kilbirnie Street, Laurieston, Glasgow. 

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Govan, Glasgow, where he remains for treatment. 

"Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.  Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
