A TEENAGER was pounced on by a brute just yards from a school in Glasgow. 

The boy, 13, was attacked by a man on Croftpark Avenue at around 8.45am on Friday. 

The pair are understood to be known to one another and were spotted in a navy blue Ford Focus seconds before the assault.

Cops have now launched a manhunt for the brute and are keen to speak to anyone in the area, particularly parents who may have dropped their children off at either King's Park Secondary or Croftpark Primary. 

The man seen hitting the boy is white in his 30’s, with a medium build.  He is around 5 ft. 9 inches in height, with a shaved head.  The man also has a beard and was wearing a dark jacket, red t-shirt and black trousers.  

They then walked up Croftpark Avenue.

The boy suffered no serious injuries in the attack and did not require hospital treatment. 

Officers are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information which could assist the investigation.

Detective Constable Dan Hood said: I am appealing to people who were in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen what happened. 

"There are two schools in the area and people may have been collecting their children from school. 

"Any small piece of information could prove significant so please do pass it on to us.”
