A MAN has admitted running a cannabis farm from his home.
Sean McGregor was snared by police at the property in Glasgow’s Garthamlock in December 2018.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that police acting on a tip-off got a warrant to search the flat.
McGregor, 25, was growing 93 plants under two tents and when police entered his home, they noticed the overpowering smell.
The plants were seized for testing which later came back positive for cannabis.
Prosecutor Mark Allan told the court equipment such as extractor fans, scales, a timer and an air filter were also taken from the flat.
Mr Allan said: “The value of the 93 plants has been assessed as being between worth £26,475 and £37,200.”
McGregor pleaded guilty yesterday to be producing cannabis at the property on Inishail Road.
Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports by Sheriff Sean Murphy QC.
He told McGregor: “This was a pretty sophisticated operation.”
McGregor, now living at a different address in Garthamlock, had his bail continued meantime.
