ANDY HALLIDAY has joked how Celtic target Shane Duffy is not his biggest fan after he had a revealing chat with Rangers defender Connor Goldson.

Duffy and Goldson played alongside each other at Brighton and according to big Rangers defender, Halliday is not one of the Ireland international's favourites.

Halliday was speaking on Open Goal with Si Ferry, Kevin Kyle and Paul Slane as they discussed the transfer speculation surrounding Duffy.

And Halliday weighed in with his thoughts, saying: “I’m not even joking here by the way.

“I’ve been told that the boy Shane Duffy hates me. I’m no even joking, that’s no even a joke, I’ve heard he hates me.

“He’s mad Celtic and Connor Goldon’s like ‘aw Shane Duffy hates you man’.”

Duffy, 28, is believed to be interested in a move north but also has West Ham and West Brom on his tail.

Both English Premier League sides are keen on the defender and could splash the cash on a permanent transfer, with Celts reportedly only able to offer around £2million as a loan fee.
