More road closures can be expected next week as the filming of BBC's new thriller Vigil featuring Suranne Jones and Martin Compston. 

The filming of the six-part series saw the closure of city centre roads this week, with more closures expected by the Clyde from Tuesday. 

Production on the show was paused due to the pandemic and only resumed this week.

The show will follow the disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on board a Trident nuclear submarine. 

It will also star Rose Leslie, known for her role in Game of Thrones, and Endeavor actor Shaun Evans.

Road closures expected next week are as follows: 

From 3pm on September 1 until 7pm on September 2 - Prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading for all vehicles

  • Admiral Street between Paisley Road West and a point 50m southwards from Paisley Road West
  • Govan Road between Pacific Drive and a point a 120m eastwards from Pacific Drive

On September 3, 4 and 5 between 12pm and 11pm each day - Prohibition of driving and restricted pedestrian movements

  • Hamilton Park Avenue between Hamilton Drive and Lacrosse Terrace
  • Lacrosse Terrace for its full length

From 3pm on September 2 until 11pm on the September 5 - Prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading for all vehicles

  • Belmont Street between Lacrosse Crescent and Doune Gardens
