A MAN has been charged following anti-lockdown protests in Glasgow Green. 

An unlawful parade of around 300 people marched from the park to George Square earlier today. 

We told earlier how anti-lockdown activists had taken to the park to protest lockdown measures.

People were heard chanting 'freedom' as they listen to speakers at the anti-lockdown demonstration. 

A police spokeswoman said: "We were aware of a protest at Glasgow Green during the afternoon of Sunday, September 6, 2020, during which around 300 people participated in an unlawful parade to George Square.

"Officers attended and provided a proportionate response and the parade passed peacefully.

“A 56-year-old man has been charged in relation to this and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
