A DESPERATE appeal has been made to help find a dog who was swept away by the White Cart Water river.
Cubby, a black cocker-spaniel was last seen being swept away from Snuff Mill Bridge, Linn Park, at around 2pm today - going towards Pollok Park.
His owner, Amanda Smith, jumped in to save the three-year-old pooch but was unsuccessful.
She was taken to hospital.
Niki Bryden, Amanda's friend, said: "Amanda is out of hospital now and is out searching for Cubby.
"If anyone is near the river could they please look out for him.
"Also, if there are any drone pilots out there we could really use your help when it gets light as there are parts of the river that we can’t reach or see that Cubby might have went to."
If you see Cubby, you can message Niki Bryden on Facebook.
