TWO MEN have appeared at court today charged with the murder of disabled man Tomasz Lipiec.
Jason McInally, 50, and Patryck Janiski, 31, allegedly assaulted Mr Lipiec, 33, at a flat in Glasgow’s Townhead on September 4 and 5.
Prosecutors state the pair compressed Mr Lipiec’s neck by putting an arm round him and repeatedly struck him on the head and body.
It is claimed they stamped on and repeatedly stabbed his body with a knife.
The pair face a second charge of stealing holdalls, a cap, a tin containing money, mobile phones, clothing, a bank card, a Polish identification card, a provisional driving licence, gloves, a TV and entertainment sound system from the flat on Dobbies Loan Place on September 4 and 6.
McInally, of Hillhead, and Janiski, of Govanhill, made no plea at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
They were remanded in custody pending further examination by Sheriff Mary Shields.
The pair will appear at court again within the next eight days.
