A MAN who attempted to deliver a kilo of ecstasy for his drug dealer using a courier service has been jailed today for 14 months.
Ross Hunter, 29, was given £1,200 to make the drug transfer from the Netherlands to Scotland last January.
But, the package was intercepted by courier Yodel en route and police later arrested Hunter who confessed his involvement.

The first offender pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to being concerned in the supply of ecstasy.
Sheriff Martin Jones QC said: “It’s unfortunate to see a man at 29 with no previous convictions facing a sentence for a serious offence involving a kilo of Class A drugs.
“People like you play an essential role and regrettably a custodial sentence is necessary and the only appropriate disposal.”
The court heard a package addressed to ‘Ralph Allan’ of Glasgow’s Queen Street was spotted at the Yodel depot in Hertfordshire.
Prosecutor Lauren McRobert told the court the package contained over a kilo of MDMA, believed to have a street value of £41,500.

Police in Glasgow obtained a warrant and searched the flat the package was destined for.
Hunter, of the city’s Scotstoun, and his partner were arrested and later quizzed by officers.
Miss McRobert said: “During the interview Hunter made full admissions of his involvement.
“He said he was in financial difficulties as he left his job due to mental health issues.
“He was given £1,200 cash upfront to facilitate the move.”
Stephen Fox, defending, told the court said: “It was to facilitate the transfer to Scotland from Holland by his drug dealer.”
Mr. Fox added that Hunter had changed the money into Bitcoin and his partner was not involved.
He said: “Mr Hunter is terrified of going into custody.”
