One new death has been announced in Scotland overnight from Covid-19 as 267 new positive cases were announced today.

The Scottish Government announced that 262 patients are currently being treated for confirmed or suspected coronavirus in hospitals in Scotland.

However, under new meassures, which excludes patients who no longer have Covid-19, the number of patients in hospitals in Scotland is 48.

Of the new cases, there are 101 in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, 53 in Lothian and 59 in Lanarkshire and 13 in Ayrshire and Arran.

Six people are in intensive care.

A total of 2,500 people have died from testing positive for coronavirus in Scotland.
