A YOB turned on his disabled neighbour by branding her a "fat b*****d" - then shoving a hamburger through her letterbox.

Alan Harvey, 39, flew into a rage at Elizabeth Britton after she told him to "get a grip" following a disturbance at their flats in Drumchapel.

The frightened 63 year-old quickly tried to close the door on Harvey.

But, prosecutor Mark Allan told Glasgow Sheriff Court: "He began shouting and swearing at her.

"He calling her a 'fat b*****d' and other derogatory comments.”

"Harvey then shoved some food - a hamburger - through her letterbox."

He went on to call his neighbour "handicapped".

Harvey was later stopped by a concierge at the flats. He was found to have a four-inch knife.

When police then turned up, he was also clutching two metal poles.

Harvey pled guilty to acting in a threatening and abusive manner towards Miss Britton aggravated by prejudice to her disability.

He also admitted possession of the knife, metal poles and breaching bail.

Harvey was remanded in custody as sentencing was deferred for reports.
