A top Glasgow lawyer has called on those "desperate to party" and "refusing masks" to think of their loved ones.
Aamer Anwar took to social media after his 71-year-old mum tested positive for coronavirus.
His mother Nargis has spent at six months at home in Liverpool.
He appealed for those "taking risks" to consider their closest ones as the pandemic has had a devastating impact for many families.

He said: "Many families in UK have suffered loss, many with dementia in care homes no longer recognise loved ones, my beautiful mum, 71yr old Nargis at home in Liverpool for 6 mths is now ill with #COVID19
"For those desperate to party, refusing masks, or taking risks - think of ur loved ones."
