GUARANTEED an accident will happen, IQs plummet at that junction (‘Accident waiting to happen’: Safety concerns after traffic lights off at major junction, Monday).

Many road users can’t seem to read a no right turn sign and just drive into pedestrians crossing the road. At the very least there should be a back-up traffic system or a warden to co-ordinate the traffic or are we too skint for such a thing?

I THINK there has to be more police around this area and along Great Western Road in general.

The speed that some of these motorists fly along various stretches of the road there is a disgrace.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen near misses and reckless driving around this area.

DO we still have police officers on patrol in Glasgow city centre? I couldn’t believe the amount of teenagers, many of whom appeared to be drunk, wandering about in large groups on Argyle Street around 7pm on Saturday.

You would think there was no virus and no threat to the public.

Do their parents even know where they are at the weekend?

Is it a case of out of sight, out of mind? I think the city centre at the weekends is now becoming a no-go area. I will not be venturing back in again after the scenes I witnessed.

I FEEL sorry for security guards in shops having to deal with ignorant customers who refuse to wear masks.

They are so selfish, and placing other people at risk.

Name and address supplied

I WAS shocked at

the weekend when I visited a major supermarket in the north of Glasgow.

A customer, who wasn’t wearing a mask was openly talking to a friend about how he doesn’t believe the virus exists at all.

I then continued to see many shoppers walking about with masks.

Do these people not care? Have they not

heard about the amount of deaths world-wide? It’s actually beyond belief.

Who do these people think they are impressing by not wearing mask?

Are they simply immune to it and do the rules not count for them?
