RAIL services in Glasgow have been hit by delays this morning due to signalling faults.
Engineers rushed to the South Side after the alarm was raised between Glasgow Central and Newton.
Services were suspended on the route, via Mount Florida, at around 8am with some passengers reporting delays on other lines of up to 20 minutes.
The fault has now been repaired at Cathcart by Network Rail staff and trains are slowly beginning to return to normal.
A ScotRail update on Twitter read: "Due to a problem with the signalling system, our Glasgow Central - Newton services via Mount Florida are currently suspended.

"Trains through Langside and from Glasgow Central Low Level are okay.
"Engineers from Network Raild have taken control of the line in order to attempt a repair. No trains will be able to pass through the area until they're done."
An hour later, the rail provider wrote: "The signalling fault at Cathcart has been repaired, we're now able to run trains to/from Newton as normal."
