Commuters are facing disruption at Glasgow Queen Street this evening after an object was caught in overhead electric lines at the station.
Scotrail tweeted out a warning to passengers that delays and cancellations would be expected after the object was caught.
High-level trains were affected from 4:20pm, while low-level trains were not impacted by the incident.
The rail company then tweeted to passengers that staff had removed the object and the scheduled timetable would be returning to normal over the evening, subject to cancellations and alterations.
UPDATE: Staff have removed the object caught on the overhead wires and we're now able to run services as scheduled, to allow us to return to a normal timetable some cancellations and alterations may follow.

The delays come as the Glasgow to Edinburgh train via Falkirk was reinstated yesterday, after flooding closed the line for the past six weeks to accommodate repairs.
