CANVA - Drumfrochar Road
A GREENOCK man is accused of faking Covid-19 symptoms to avoid being arrested by police.
Officers apprehended the 20-year-old male on an arrest warrant at Drumfrochar Road at 10.15am on Monday.
He stated that he had coronavirus symptoms.
Police say that full procedures, including officers wearing PPE were followed as a result, only for the individual to later state that he was not suffering any symptoms of the virus.
He has now been charged with obstructing officers.
