CAN anyone explain why folk think it’s okay to wear a face mask covering just your mouth?

A taxi driver told me that he described it as walking about with your flies undone and your bits hanging out.

I know the mask is hot, uncomfortable and makes breathing difficult – I have to wear it for eight hours in a row – but I would rather be uncomfortable than take the chance I transmit any virus to another person.

So to all those on the bus with your nose hanging out, please put your bits away.

SO once again Queen Nicola stops everyone visiting family but you can still go to school.

Can somebody explain why schools have to stay open allowing Covid to spread among staff and children? Oh I forgot, children don’t spread the virus. Why doesn’t she take action against the people who are spreading the disease? Because she needs their vote to stay in power.

House parties all over the place, but what happens? Nothing. Forty people at a house party and only the householder is given a fixed penalty ticket which will not be paid – therefore nothing done.

But she still manages to make political points against Westminster, surprising that.

IT is very hard for any government to decide (‘I have a duty to the Scottish people’: Sturgeon defends lockdown amid ‘draconian rules’ criticism, Glasgow Times online).

You have to either:

a) Restrict movement and enforce rules because the number of infections (that had caused a high number of deaths) is rising.

b) Please some of the people and relax any restrictions but risk high infections and deaths.

Option a) is better for the economy but then that government will be pummelled for not saving lives.

It’s a bit of a no-win situation because nobody knows how to remove the virus threat. What I hate is the constant cynicism and ear-bashing of politics but it is what it is I suppose.

YET again our First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has led the way in handling this pandemic.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson simply has no connection when he delivers his message on TV. It’s little wonder people don’t want to listen to him.
