PRIMARY pupils at a school in Knightswood showed their support on World Cancer Day to help raise vital funds.
On Thursday, the #CuresForCancer social media challenge was started by Worldwide Cancer Research, to help raise cash for lifesaving research to start new cures.
The social media challenge saw Instagram, Facebook and Twitter users recreate the charity’s love heart symbol to show solidarity.

From heart drawn palms and decorated cookies to creative make-up and love-heart arranged tea leaves, participants put their own spin on the logo and donated to the charity.
St Ninian’s Primary pupils showed their imaginative side by standing in the shape of a heart and holding different coloured cardboard hearts.
All of the money raised will go towards funding the Edinburgh-based charity’s research.
Dr Helen Rippon, chief executive of Worldwide Cancer Research, said: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part and donated. Together we can start bold new research and stop the suffering caused by cancer.”
