Fire crews were called to the East End on Saturday afternoon after a fire alarm was activated.
Three fire engines attended the scene on Duke Street around 5.20pm.
The alarm was raised by a fogging device activating smoke sensors.
Crews helped clear the smoke but there were no casualties.
A spokeswoman for the SFRS said: "Three appliances attended to clear the smoke which was result of a fogging device. There was no fire.
