PROPERTY prices have soared across Scotland following lockdown restrictions being lifted on the market.
In August, s1homes saw the average house price of properties advertised on their site increase by 6% compared to the previous year.
Areas such as Glasgow and Renfrewshire saw the largest increases.
Comparing asking prices to January, pre-Covid, s1homes report a 4% rise.

Their website traffic is also outperforming pre-Covid levels and in comparison to last year, with August visits up 6% compared to 2019.
However, with the government furlough scheme coming to an end on October 31st and sister site s1jobs.com predicting a further surge in redundancies and an expected fall in jobs advertised, s1homes believe the pent-up demand driving the sellers’ market will be short lived and asking prices will fall as the full impact of the Post-Covid recession hits hard.
