Thieves in Lanarkshire have made off with designer handbags and diamond jewellery after ransacking a Bothwell home.
The culprits took off with two gold rings, diamond earrings, two charm bracelets - one with the name 'Thomas' engraved - and a pearl necklace during their raid on 22 September.
A quantity of cash was also taken from the property by the thieves.
Police are now appealing to the public for information as an investigation into the break-in has been launched.
A spokesman: "Although the items stolen are of high monetary value, the sentimental value of the items heavily exceed the cost as items have been inherited through family or were presents for birthdays etc.
"We are asking anyone who may have information of this housebreaking or anyone who has been approached to by persons to buy similar items to contact 101 quoting “incident number 2437 or 22/09/20”.
