THE KATUNS unveil their debut single Friend Like You this week as they give their growing fanbase a taste of their sound.
The West Lothian four-piece has managed to build up an eager following already, despite having no original release to their name.
A cover of The Kooks track She Moves in Her Own Way certainly whet the whistle, but their first track is now just days away from release.
"We're really proud of what we've accomplished with this single," singer Adam Frame told The Weekender. "With it being our first release as a band we had to show what we're about and the direction we are taking with our music.
"We want people to be like: 'Oh, yeah, that's The Katuns and I think we've managed to pull it off.
"It's got a lot of what we love about our favourite bands' tone and and style, with a bit of Katuns-love sprinkled on top. It feels like our own statement and that's what we're most excited to share.
"I think this whole pandemic thing has made plans so much harder to get to or achieve – more so than we anticipated for 2020, but we're still working hard and we've got so much more to show before the end of the year."
Friend Like You will be available from Friday, October 9.
