New daily positive coronavirus cases have broken through the 1000 a day mark.
Today’s figures show, 1,054 new cases of COVID-19 reported. It is 13.0% of newly tested individuals.
It is an increase of 254 from the 800 reported the day before.
Around 40% of the new cases, 410, were in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. 195 were in Lothian and 190 in Lanarkshire.
There was one new reported death of people who have tested positive
There were 319 people in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19 and 28 people were in intensive care with recently confirmed COVID-19.
The figures come as Nicola Sturgeon is due to announce new restrictions for Scotland.
