YESTERDAY licensed pubs, restaurants and cafes were all told to close their doors yet again, as Nicola Sturgeon announced new coronavirus restrictions.

Premises serving alcohol in the Central Belt have all been told to bring down their shutters at 6pm on Friday, while non-licensed cafes will be allowed to remain open.

Here is a list of some of the best breakfast, lunch and brunch spots in Glasgow which will remain open over the next two weeks.

Langside Cafe

Langside Place, Langside

This iconic cafe has just celebrated its 100th birthday and it isn't hard to see why Langside Cafe has stuck around for so long.

From ice cream to cakes and pastries, and an old-school sweet shop selection, the cafe has been one of South Siders' favourite places for the past century. The homemade soup comes highly recommended by regulars!
