More than half a dozen schools in and around Glasgow were linked to coronavirus cases this week.
The Glasgow Times is aware of eight schools in and around the city where Test and Protect staff were called in to establish close contacts of positive Covid cases.
Coronavirus contact tracing was confirmed in the following schools:
- Sandwood Primary School
- Mearns Primary
- Bellshill Academy
- Giffnock Primary
- St Benedict's High School
- Gleniffer High School
- Castlehead High School
- Kirklandneuk Primary School
At the time of reporting, there was no evidence of transmission within any of the schools. Pupils and staff not asked to self-isolate could continue to attend as usual.
A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman previously assured that schools are "working really hard" to keep families updated.
