A MAN who fled from police was later snared with a taser and a knife when they fell from his clothing.

Officers attempted to speak to Thomas Thomson, 25, after midnight in July this year as he was in breach of his bail curfew.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Thomson ran away and was pursued to his flat in Dougrie Place in the city’s Castlemilk.

Prosecutor Lucy Adams said: “The accused was apprehended and a black taser fell to the floor on the common close.

“Officers put it out of reach of the accused for their safety.

“As he was being brought from the floor to his feet a large knife fell from his clothing.”

Thomson was arrested and made no reply to caution and charge.

He pleaded guilty yesterday to the possession of a knife and taser without lawful authority.

Thomson also admitted breaching his bail curfew where he was to remain indoors between 8pm and 7am.

Lawyer Ian McClelland, defending, will make his plea in mitigation at next month’s sentencing.

Thomson, who appeared from custody, had his remand continued meantime for background reports by Sheriff Paul Crozier.
