A MAN has been taken to hospital after he was found seriously injured in a street in Pollokshields. 

Police were called shortly after half five last night following a disturbance on Maxwell Road. 

The 28-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report around 5.40pm on Thursday, 15 October of a man injured in a disturbance on Maxwell Road in Glasgow.

"The 28-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 2554 of 15 October, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
